To enable the app to get data updates via the internet (i.e. match reports, fixture results, league table updates) we use a technology framework called Firebase which is created and maintained by Google. In order to provide the Firebase services used by the app (including Firestore, Remote Config, Firebase Storage, Firebase Functions, Firebase Messaging) Google may collect data about app users and devices and utilizes technologies including and similar to cookies.
Generally the information collected by Google is not personal information and is required in order to enable Google to provide the services the app uses. Google is GDPR compliant and you can find out more about how Google collects and processes data using the links below:

The IP (Internet Protocol) address is a unique address (like a postal address) that uniquely identifies your device on an IP network. It is required to send messages back and forth over a network.
An instance ID is an identifier that uniquely identifies an installation of an app on your mobile device. Instance IDs give Firebase a way to refer to specific app instances (e.g. when sending messages). Firebase collects and stores these identifiers to enable it to correctly route traffic and keep track of which app instances have received which data.
Cookies are files with small amount of data that are commonly used as an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser or device from websites and services that you visit and use and are stored on your device’s internal memory.
By default the app disables Google Analytics for Firebase according to the instructions set out by Google in their developer documentation. Google Analytics can provide useful information to developers about how the app is used and aggregates statistics for user demographics including location, device types, OS versions. We have chosen to switch this off by default to minimise the data collected by Firebase.

If you email us then we will use and store your email address in our email system in order to respond to your query. We periodically delete all customer emails and addresses (normally within three months). Please note that this means that if you subsequently contact us about a previous query we will not necessarily have access to any previous email communications. We do not use your email addresses for any other purpose and we never share it with any third parties.
The app may provide links that will open an external webpage in your mobile device’s web browser. These web pages may be owned and controlled by third parties and we will have no liability in respect of those websites, their content, practices or the services they provide. These links are provided for your convenience and information only and do not constitute our endorsement of them, their content or the companies that provide them.
The app will give a warning whenever it is about to open an external link. (You can opt out of receiving this warning in the Privacy section of the settings screen).
